Show us a book that scared you as a child.

I'm sure this scared many a child growing up. I know it scared me witless!! I still can't read any of these stories today, even though I now like being scared to death. Psychological damage indeed. Does anyone else remember these? What was your favorite or rather, least favorite story?

omgomgomg! I used to have a friend who was a few years older than myself and she would always read me these stories. It was awesome! I can't truly recall a favorite, but I think there was this one about little red eyes all over the place that has continued to freak me out.

ugh! there is one where this girl is followed by this guy at a gas station and the guy keeps flashing his lights at her. the girl finally gets to her house and runs out screaming that the guy flashing his lights is going to kill her but...there's a murderer in the backseat!!! This one still haunts me (and it's the reason why I won't put my own gas in my car!)

It's getting harder and harder to scare my bf's preteen brothers. Maybe I should break out some of these scary stories! Oh yeah, I'm totally gonna check out the library for these!
