I fell asleep in choir rehearsal tonight. Yes, I fell asleep right in the middle of C.O.G.I.C. dancing, shouting, Holy-Ghost filled choir rehearsal. I am exhausted. It was the first time I had sat down all day, running around after the kids, driving everyone everywhere, cooking dinner, baking 50 white chocolate mini cheesecakes...I sat down and passed out. I woke up to the choir director yelling "that baby is tired ya'll. what ya'll doing to her?"
Of course it helps that I can fall asleep anywhere. Who else do you know (besides a child) that has fallen asleep in the middle of Disneyland?
Next Friday is the girl's last day here with me. I'm kind of sad and glad that they're going. Sad because they were a lot of fun, and really good kids if you guide them correctly. Glad because I won't have to deal with their crazy ass parents - all three of them! Then I get prepped for our big event we have going down on the Military base. I just hope we don't run out of food!
I guess it's good that my next class is directed study, meaning that I don't have to be on ground to deal with teams and teachers. It's just one on one online with myself and a teacher. I think I'm going to love it.
Speaking of love, I'm going to fall asleep listening to some Air. Yep, that sounds good.
Hey Guys,
It's been awhile. Seriously, like three years? So when I heard that you had a new album out, I was really excited. I was already planning to buy tix. And then I got the e-mail with the tour dates. San Diego isn't on the list.
Now I kind of thought ya'll loved San Diego. Maybe it's because you guys all have families now and don't want to tour so long. Maybe it's because we rushed the stage that time. Did we forget to apologise? I'm sorry. Really, I still have the scar from that show.
So I'm a little disappointed, but I understand. Hopefully I'll catch the L.A. show, or hopefully you'll change your mind and do one here. Seriously, I love you guys. And so does San Diego. Maybe we'll see you next time?

Oh yes ya'll, I did some shopping for summer. Skirts, new jeans and some shoes. I forgot to get tops though, but nevermind. Shopping is shopping. A way to feel a bit better when you've been kicked down. Of course, today would have been perfect if my TB test came back negative. But it didn't. So now I've got a wicked sore arm, and am anxiously awaiting my chest xray for the "all clear". I have to take antibiotics for the next year to make sure all the TB germies are really dead and gone, but I guess the up-side to all of this is that I'm not contagious. And I live in 2007...not 1807, where they'd just put me out to pasture.
So despite the early June gloom outside, I am really looking forward to the summer. It is evident by the Brazilian music I start playing, and for some reason Phantom Planet's first CD get thrown in heavy rotation. Is it bad that I am really lovin' Rhianna's Umbrella (ay ay ay)? I have hand movements and everything. It's ridiculous. Top 40 radio be damned.
How I love you! It was the most fun class I've had in a good long while. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this class.
I actually LEARNED things last night! What a concept! And there are very cute men who are in my class. Eye candy, as all of them talked about wives or girlfriends.
I essentially have two papers to do this week, since I didn't do last night's and the prof is nice enough to let us turn it in next week with no penalty on the amount of points we would receive. Very nice.
So today I have made plans to be out an about. Taking Sarajevo to the holy grail of restaurant shopping for dead cheap, aka Restaurant Depot and then out to City College (Finally!) to get myself registered. Down to the job to switch shifts with Manu and then back home to wait for my mom. Then we're going out, but not in the Dina/Lindsay way. I honestly really like hanging out with my mom, it's part of the reason why I still live at home (other than being completely fucking broke).
If I didn't have to work this weekend (Saturday 5-9 WTF?!) it'd be damn near perfect.
Ask me my Top Fives, any Top Fives you want to know, as many as you like. I will reply to your comments here.
I love stuff like this! The more random, the better?

I'm not really into girly things.
Not into makeup, perfumes or anything that would be considered remotely feminine. Yesterday, while I was bored and lonely (hey guys, feel free to IM me whenever! I'd love to talk with you) I watched some Sex in the City. It was the episode where it had - in my humble opinion- the best outfit Carrie ever wore. It's also my dream dress.
If I ever have like, $10,000 to spend on a couture piece, I will hunt down this dress. In the same exact color, and walk around my house looking like a floating sea of green. That is all.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- Hit the mute button for a moment of silence: The co-inventor of the TV remote has died.
Robert Adler, who won an Emmy Award along with fellow engineer Eugene Polley for the device that made couch potatoship possible, died Thursday of heart failure at a Boise nursing home at 93, Zenith Electronics Corp. said Friday.
In his six-decade career with Zenith, Adler was a prolific inventor, earning more than 180 U.S. patents. He was best known for his 1956 Zenith Space Command remote control, which helped make TV a truly sedentary pastime.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded Adler and co-inventor Polley, another Zenith engineer, an Emmy in 1997 for the landmark invention.
Adler joined Zenith's research division in 1941 after earning a doctorate in physics from the University of Vienna. He retired as research vice president in 1979, and served as a technical consultant until 1999, when Zenith merged with LG Electronics Inc.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published his most recent patent application, for advances in touch screen technology, on February 1.
Tonight, in honor of Mr. Adler I plan on sitting on the couch, flicking the channels with the remote while complaining that there's nothing on.
I was taking some of my most favorite posts off my LJ and transferring them to here, in case I decide to fully shut down both of my LJ's (something I've been seriously toying with). I really love Vox, and I can't even think of using anything else at the moment. So below this post are a few of my favorites, written back when I was young, or just favorite poems and things that I saved.
THERE'S A NEW TRAVIS SONG! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OMFG!
